Frugal Friday 10 - Faking a Guest Bed

When we hosted everyone for Christmas, I knew we were going to need as many beds as possible.  I was already planning back in August, when I bought this awesome "frame" to put an air mattress in.  We already had a queen air mattress, so I found a frame for it on QVC and ordered it.  It's a much cheaper alternative to buying a new bed and mattress, or buying a sofa bed or futon.  Here it is assembled:

Justin and I actually slept on this in Lila's room when the family was in town and now we have no qualms about having guests sleep on it because it was really comfortable!

When it's all folded up, you can keep it in this nice case in a spare closet:

And here's what it looks like before you zip the air mattress in:

This is actually the perfect solution for people who live in small spaces (apartments, houses without guest rooms) because everything folds away into a closet.  Plus it's always nice to offer guests a place to sleep that's not on the floor.  Just a little bit more classy, don't you think?  Martha would approve.  Happy Friday!
