The Wallaces Visit - Times Two

One of the most significant lessons I've learned since moving to Florida is that I keep a much cleaner house when company is coming.  This may be true for most people.  The problem is, we don't get much company!  We are still working on the finding-new-friends part of our move, so I haven't had to keep our house very clean.  (This is where you all gasp that I have admitted that even I am not perfect).

We felt very fortunate to see both sets of our Florida friends the past two weekends.  We have seriously missed out on socializing!  We got to see the Tampa Wallaces first.  Two weeks ago, Scott, Melissa and baby Owen came to visit us for the day.  Owen has gotten so big already - he is such a precious baby!  I tried to get Justin to hold him for practice :)  But instead, he ended up chilling on my lap a good portion of the day.  That dark spot on my t-shirt is Owen's drool!

Then the Fernandina Wallaces came to visit us this past weekend!  I know Justin and Andrew had a great time, while Ashley and I exchanged a lot of knowing glances and similar complaints about husbands with short attention spans. Those two guys are cut from the same cloth.  It's eerie sometimes.  We used the pool some more (and the hot tub!) and we made a fire in our fire pit (complete the s'mores!)  I have to admit, one of the best parts of their visit was that Andrew and Justin replaced the parts for our dishwasher and it finally works properly!  (Now for the oven . . .)

And we were smart enough to remember to take a group photo!  Five more months and this photo will include a baby Watts in the flesh :)

Come back and visit us soon!
