A very Floridian day

Justin and I are feeling like true Floridians today!  We went up to Satellite Beach this morning to see the last shuttle launch, Atlantis, from Kennedy Space Center.  You wouldn't believe the amount of people we saw getting ready for the launch (the estimated about 1 million in the entire Space Coast area).  It was a very cool community event and possibly an important part of history to witness (we are hoping, like many, that this is not the official end).  I'm working on editing a video of the launch, but for now, here are some pictures!

Go here to read more about Atlantis and the future of the space program!

That little speck of fire is the shuttle!
The crowd behind us

After the launch, we headed to the local DMV to get our Florida licenses and license plates!  We went to the Melbourne location and found out that we would be needing a lot more documents than what we brought with us (they need 5 different types of identification for your license alone!)  We went home and had lunch and then went to the Palm Bay DMV.  It took a little over an hour, but we are OFFICIAL!

Justin picked the "Endless Summer" plate
I picked "Save the Manatees"
Doesn't it look like Sandy?  Old sad eyes!
