Fabulous Florida evening!

Justin and I feel very blessed to have ended up in Melbourne for one important reason: we have family close by!  Grandad and Pauline live year round in Vero Beach, about 45 minutes south of Melbourne.  And Grandma and George live in the same condo building as Grandad and Pauline during the winter months!

Grandad and Pauline came over this evening for our first of many get togethers!  We started off the evening sitting on the back patio drinking champagne (that's how we do it in Florida!  We did the same with Scott and Melissa last weekend).  Then Justin grilled up hamburgers and we ate around the dining room table.  It's amazing how much easier it is to entertain when you have a dining room table. Weird, right?  Then we took a stroll around the nature preserve in our neighborhood.  Overall, a fabulous Florida evening!

Grandad and Pauline also brought some fabulous Floridian housewarming gifts:

Melbourne, Vero Beach, Tampa and Fernandina are all on here!

A Hawaiian welcome gift - a plumeria tree!  It can grow up to 20 feet and the flowers are what leis are made out of.
