Virginia Trip!

Here are some pictures from our Christmas trip to VA!  Justin actually tallied up our miles on google maps, and we logged over 2,000 miles total.  It was a whirlwind and we got very lucky that Lila did so well in the car.

We started the trip in Hillsville/Blacksburg - we stayed with Grandma & George to see Jack graduate from Virginia Tech!

Lila's first graduation :)

So proud of my baby brother!

We celebrated Justin's birthday in 3 different towns - Hillsville, Harrisonburg and Fairfax!
The first of Justin's unconventional birthday cakes - the birthday biscuit

JMU!
We stopped through Harrisonburg to visit the Hughes family - here is Ava holding a very tired Lila!

Justin is notorious for guessing birthday and Christmas gifts well in advance.  I really surprised him this year - I made him a t-shirt quilt with all of his old childhood, high school, college, post-college, etc. t-shirts! A huge Thanks to Pauline for coming to watch Lila for a full day while I whipped it up!

Another uncoventional birthday candle in a frozen peppermint pie!
We headed up to Havre de Grace, Maryland to visit Pop-Pop and Justin's cousins:
Lila opening "the gift" of the season!  She is obsessed with this baby and stroller!
At first she thought it was a stroller for her :)

Lila and Abby - so cute!
102 years young!
Lila woke up Christmas Eve was some CRAZY hair!  I had to document:

With her cousin Sascha, and Christina's girls Khloe and Hailey, playing with more baby dolls!

Sandy looking particularly festive!
Christmas morning!  Lila was soooo into opening gifts this year . . . in fact, she opened gifts for other people in addition to her own!
Lila and her farm (and yes, those are the same pajamas Clara from Young House Love was wearing Christmas morning!)
Such a sweet little face
She was also all about the boxes!
We also visited with Lila's great-grandma, Bisavo:

And I may have forced our family to take a family flannel photo (say that 3 times fast)!

"Santa" dropped off Lila's kitchen while we were away so she discovered it when we arrived home.  She LOVES it!

Even though it felt like our vacation went by so fast, we feel very fortunate that we were able to spend so much time with our families during the holiday season!  Living in Florida is definitely not easy on the grandparents or us, for that matter.  I hope everyone had a joyous Christmas season!
