Frugal Friday 9 - Self Control

As the title of this post suggests, a big part of being frugal is having self-control.  Since Lila entered the scene, it is getting much more difficult.  I am still thinking (dreaming) about these adorable items I saw at baby Gap recently:

1. I wish they made this adorable band jacket turned sweater in my size.
2.  I can't bring myself to spend $40 on an infant for something she will wear 2-3 times.
3. Seriously, make it in my size!
4. It is so adorably Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band.  And Lila has little choice about being a  Beatles fan in this household.
5. Again, I request this in my size.

The store had it paired with this super cute leggings/skirt combo:

Now, I think putting them together may be a bit over the top.  They are too cute on their own to compete with each other.  I would pair the band jacket with Lila's jeggings and her ballet flat socks.  And the leggings/skirt combo would look supercute with a black onesie with a fake necklace silk screen underneath.

Then there was this coat . . .

Back!

Again, can you please make this in my size?  It reminds me of a cross between Ali McGraw in "Love Story" and anything with Audrey Hepburn.  I said to myself . . . if we lived in Virginia, I would buy this.  It's a good thing we live in Florida and she doesn't have any need for a wool coat!

Sometimes frugality and self-control are overrated, don't you think?
