It's kind of like "rich people" problems. We have a whole subset of weird things in Florida we have to deal with that most of the country doesn't. Today, for example, we found a very interesting "critter" in our garage.
Justin and I were in the master bedroom and I heard scratching through the wall. Our master bedroom shares a wall with our garage by the way. I asked him if he heard it, just to make sure I wasn't crazy . . . and he did. I immediately thought - Oh no, we have a rat or a raccoon in the garage. Maybe a squirrel or a chipmunk . . . NOT a MUTANT CRAB.
I'm not kidding. Justin went out there and shined his flashlight around and found a blue crab bigger than his hand. He then proceeded to make a path out of the garage using all of the extra cardboard we have laying around. While he was corralling it out of the garage, it somehow crawled into an extra drainage bin, so he grabbed that and took it outside. Look right into that hole and you'll see the monster. (Remember, you can click on images within the blog to make them larger!)
Yep, that was our morning. Like I said, "Florida People" problems.
