Here are a couple of pics from this past weekend - we have had such a great time hanging out with Melissa and Scott. Can't believe it's been over a year since we saw them last!
Justin and I are always taking "self-pics" so this is our first official self-pic in Florida (obviously I had the camera zoomed in a little too much, right?) This was after we went out to dinner at City Tropic on the beachside and then walked down to the ocean.
Yesterday we discovered a great beach access in Melbourne Beach - next to the access they have all of these great shops and restaurants with a very beachy vibe - it really reminded me of the North Shore in Hawaii!
Everyone surfs here (we even saw a 4 year old boy, so I mean everyone). I really need to sign up for lessons and buy a board! The water is so warm and the past two days would have been perfect for beginner surfers. Scott brought his stand-up paddle board and Justin tried it out a couple of times. He liked it, but after a trip to the infamous Longboard House in Indialantic, Justin really wants to trade in his surfboard for a new one.
We went to see "Bad Teacher" last night - HILARIOUS! It was so refreshing to go see a movie with an original script that was not based on a book. (Ha, that's the teacher in me talking!) Phyllis Smith from "The Office" was a total scene stealer. And non-teachers Justin, Melissa and Scott all enjoyed it as well, so go see it!
We are going to check out Historic downtown Melbourne today with Scott and Melissa, so I'll post some pictures of that tomorrow! And of course, we will be catching some fireworks down on the river tonight. Enjoy your 4th of July!
Have you seen Bridesmaids yet??? So Freaking funny! - I laughed so hard I cried!!! Maggie and I are going to see Bad Teacher today! :)
